OGBOMOSHO AGOG AS OSF DELIVERED FREE MEDICAL OUTREACH TO 5 LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREAS

Wednesday, 24th January, 2018 was spectacular for the people of Ogbomosho North, Ogbomosho South, Oriire, Surulere and Ogo-Oluwa local government areas as they gathered in thousands at Jimoh Volvo Building, StarLite Junction, Ogbomosho to receive free medical care from Olatoye Sugar Foundation.

A number of beneficiaries burst into tears as their ailments had been tormenting them for years without succour from government or relations and they have exhausted their savings or sold properties for them to have good health but all to no avail. Many have lost hope that, they can regain their sights freely, operated freely or have full medical care free of charge from a charitable organization like OSF given the economic hardship ravaging the country as a whole.

The joy among the crowd was not measurable as they were dancing, rejoicing and praying fervently for Hon (Dr) Olatoye Temitope Sugar who is the great man behind OSF Free Medical Mission for the good people of Oyo State and beyond.

The case of Mama Oyekemi Alabi from Pirimu Compound in Ogbomosho North caught the attention of almost everyone present at the programme as she has lost her sight since 1996 (22years ago) but to the Glory of God, she regained her sight instantly after a successful eye operation.

A correspondent of a popular monthly magazine in Ogbomosho interviewed Dr Olaoluwa, one of OSF medical team that, people alleged that this free medical gesture and other socio- economic cum infrastructural interventions of Hon Sugar through OSF are fine tuned towards his preparation for Oyo State 2019 Governorship ambition. Dr Olaoluwa reiterated that, Hon (Dr) Olatoye Temitope Sugar is eminently qualified given his educational and administrative experience in public governance to even contest for the President of Nigeria if the electorates are sure that he is the best not to talk of Oyo State Governor. He said, 'Hon Sugar is just passionate about people's well-being beyond local political gains'. How many Gubernatorial aspirants in Oyo State are doing this or who has had a comparable history of Hon Sugar's helping hands to the needy, youth, women, people with disability and the less privileged at large?
OSF is in United Kingdom, Ghana, Bauchi State and so on. Hon Sugar's political ambition couldn't have covered all the areas aforementioned, his philanthropic gestures are just part and parcel of him. 

Dr Olaoluwa later assured all residents of Oyo State that they will continually benefit from Hon Sugar and OSF's  welfare programmes.

The Otun Olubadan of Ibadan land, High Chief Lekan Balogun , has described the invalidation of 21 Ibadan kings ’ installations as disappointing, stressing that there is nothing to contest in the 1957 Olubadan Chieftaincy Declaration review because nothing has changed . In a verdict delivered by Justice Olajumoke Aiki of an Ibadan High Court on Friday, the court ruled that Governor Abiola Ajimobi, who ordered the review and installation of the 21 kings on August 27 , 2017 , acted beyond his constitutional powers . The lingering crisis rocking the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State on Tuesday took another dimension as a faction within the party, APC Unity Forum, announced its decision to leave the party for another one where its interest would be protected. The popular Fuji musician, Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, also known as Kwam 1, has confirmed the death of one of his daughters, Wasilat. Wasilat died in Canada after a brief illness. The deceased, said to be 34 years old, reportedly died in the early hours of Tuesday from complications arising from diabetes. POPULAR JOURNALIST, ORIYOMI HAMZAT, FREED FROM SSS COUSTODY

 A popular Ibadan-based broadcaster, Oriyomi Hamzat, has been released from the custody of the State Security Service (SSS), where he was detained for weeks. Mr Hamzat, who owns Agidigbo radio station in Ibadan, was detained at the SSS office in Ibadan on August 1. He was later transferred to the Abuja office of the agency. Individuals and groups, like the Association of Nigerian Comrades (ANC), have clamoured for the release of the broadcaster whose arrest was seen as unlawful and an infringement on press freedom. Narrating how he was arrested, the general manager of Agidigbo radio station, Ismail Idowu, said the SSS officers visited the radio station on July 31, demanding to see Mr Hamzat. OLUBADAN: MOGAJIS ISSUE SEVEN-DAY ULTIMATUM TO 21 IBADAN KINGS

The Ibadan M ogajis (family heads) , under the aegis of Council of Authentic Ibadan Mogajis, have issued a seven -day ultimatum to the 21 kings installed by the Oyo State Governor, Abiola Ajimobi, to withdraw their threat to recommend Olubadan of Ibadan land, Oba Saliu Adetunji , for removal or face the wrath of Ibadan people .
