The graduate of the University of Ibadan has taken to instagram to share the story of his success so far. He said he attended a university after waiting for thirteen year upon the completion of his secondary education. In his own words “Jan 26th of every year remains a very special day to me and my entire household. Just feeling groovy, nifty and of cause fresh. Happy birthday to me. A superlative birthday shouts out to me, I’m a definition of grace. I was born into a very humble family; my father never owned a motorcycle let alone a car. My father never bought a television not until after my secondary school. I grew up in one of the slums in Ibadan.  No electricity for several years, I had to make use of ‘KUU

OGBOMOSHO AGOG AS OSF DELIVERED FREE MEDICAL OUTREACH TO 5 LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREAS

Image
Wednesday, 24th January, 2018 was spectacular for the people of Ogbomosho North, Ogbomosho South, Oriire, Surulere and Ogo-Oluwa local government areas as they gathered in thousands at Jimoh Volvo Building, StarLite Junction, Ogbomosho to receive free medical care from Olatoye Sugar Foundation. A number of beneficiaries burst into tears as their ailments had been tormenting them for years without succour from government or relations and they have exhausted their savings or sold properties for them to have good health but all to no avail. Many have lost hope that, they can regain their sights freely, operated freely or have full medical care free of charge from a charitable organization like OSF given the economic hardship ravaging the country as a whole. The joy among the crowd was not measurable as they were dancing, rejoicing and praying fervently for Hon (Dr) Olatoye Temitope Sugar who is the great man behind OSF Free Medical Mission for the good people of Oyo State and

Image

According to Ajimobi, it was almost impossible to totally ‘control’ a successor, hence what should be paramount should be that the next governor of the state committed to raising the bar of governance from its current point. “This administration still has till May 2019. However, in politics, we have just about a year to go. This means that by this December, we will be in the thick of politics and would have begun campaigning for votes for my successor. Though some will say that my concern when I begin canvassing for votes for a successor is that I want to impose someone who will be my puppet upon the people. But the truth is whether you impose or not, that perso

OBASANJO MISLED NIGERIANS, NOT RIGHT TO ACCUSE BUHARI -- AYODELE FAYOSE

Image
The Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has described as belated and self-serving, the open letter written by former president, Olusegun Obasanjo, to President Muhammadu Buhari. “Obasanjo is not the right person to write that letter,” Mr. Fayose insisted in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Idowu Adelusi, on Tuesday in Ado-Ekiti. The former president had on Tuesday written to Mr. Buhari pointing out the failures of his administration. He also urged the president not to seek re-election in 2019 in the face of his obvious lacklustre performance in the last two years. But Mr. Fayose said the former president was only trying to save his faceafter misleading Nigerians, and should also heard the advice he offered to Mr. Buhari by also vacating the public space. “President Buhari should heed ex- President Obasanjo’s advice and go home and rest. President Buhari has overstayed his welcome,” he said. “Obasanjo himself should heed his own advice to Buhari

MUHAMMED BUHARI REPLIES TO OBASANJO'S LETTER

Image
PRESS STATEMENT BY THE MINISTER OF INFORMATION AND CULTURE, ALHAJI LAI MOHAMMED, ON WEDNESDAY, 24 JAN. 2018 AT THE PRESIDENTIAL VILLA IN REPLY TO LETTER BY FORMER PRESIDENT OLUSEGUN OBASANJO We have read the press statement by former President Olusegun Obasanjo on the State of the Nation. For the record, Chief Obasanjo is a patriot, and he has proven this time and time again. We appreciate what he said concerning the Administration's performance in two out of the three key issues that formed the plank of its campaign: Fighting corruption and tackling insurgency. Specifically, the former President said President Buhari must be given credit for his achievement so far in these two areas. We thank him for this. Apparently, the former President believes that the Administration does not deserve a pass mark in the area of the economy, which is the third of our three-pronged campaign promises. We have no doubt that in the face of massive challenges in this area, this Administra

IBADAN CHIEFTAINCY: ILLEGALLY INSTALLED OBAS MUST LEAVE TOWN, COUNCIL OF AUTHENTIC MOGAJIS SAY

Image
The spokesman of the Council of Authentic Mogajis in Ibadan , Chief Wale Oladoja , has said tradition prescribes that any deposed king must leave town , because he would not be permitted to live in the same town with a reigning king . Oladoja , in his reaction to last week’ s ruling which sacked the 21 kings , said Governor Abiola Ajimobi and the sacked monarchs must have known the consequence of the ruling traditionally, and that it triggered their decision to head to the Court of Appeal . He said , “ It ( the ruling ) is a victory for all the sons and daughters of Ibadan land both at home and in the Diaspora. “ They praised the governor for the courage to go to court . It is a welcome idea because he knows the consequence of the court judgment . “ The sacked Obas (kings ) also know the consequence , too. Reason is that any Oba sacked by a court and who, as a consequence eventually losses the crown , can no longer live in the same town with a reigning monarch. “ T

He noted that about 1,500 palm trees were destroyed with value yet to be ascertained as at yesterday morning when he visited the place with a team of security agents. Said Adigun: “they set my farm ablaze and destroyed about 1,500 palm trees. You recall that six of my attendants were maimed and property destroyed

Image

In the suit number, M/317/2017 with High Chief Rashidi Ladoja and Honourable Justice Akintunde Boade (Rtd) as first and second respondents respectively, Ajimobi, the appellant, further asked for an order dismissing the case presented by Ladoja in its entirety. Image
The Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi III has disclosed that the title of Aare Ona Kakanfo was bestowed on Dr. Gani Adams because of his passionate commitment to the protection of the culture and territorial integrity of Yorubaland. Oba Adeyemi made the disclosure during a thanksgiving service on Sunday at St Mary's Catholic Church, Oyo to mark his 47th year on the throne. He disclosed that out of 25 candidates shortlisted for the title, Adams was found to have paid dearly and earnestly for the interest of Yorubaland Oba Adeyemi said: “The benchmark of selection was not hung at the sentinel of political engagement, solidity in terms of gold, wealth or fortune; neither was it on the number of properties acquired on global pedestal. But on agrarian and blind engagement of those who have abused and abusing, those who have infringed and infringing on the territorial and cultural territory of Yoruba. “Whatever methods employed by him and his association, th

FALLOUT OF COURT VERDICT: WE STILL HAVE AXE TO GRIND WITH OLUBADAN – 21 NEW KINGS

Image

The judgment went in favour of the plaintiff, Senator Rashidi Ladoja, who insisted that the judicial commission of inquiry set up by Governor Abiola Ajimobi was done in error. To Ladoja,  the governor had acted beyond his power by embarking on the review of 1959 Olubadan Declaration. Speaking through Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, the traditional rulers said they had heard that  Ajimobi would appeal the judgment. “We heard the news on radio and it has not bothered us in an
