Oyo2019: ALAO-AKALA, HON. SUGAR PROMISE TO CLEAN OUT WEEP OF MASSES

HON (DR.) OLATOYE TEMITOPE SUGAR AND FORMER GOVERNOR ADEBAYO ALAO-AKALA TOOK THEIR CAMPAIGN TRAIL TO SURULERE AND OGO-OLUWA LGs AND PROMISED TO CLEAN OUT THE WEEP OF MASSES 

Former Governor of Oyo State, Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala and the serving honourable member representing Akinyele/Lagelu Federal constituency at National Assembly who is also contesting to represent Oyo Central Senatorial District under the platform of Action Democratic Party (ADP), Hon. (Dr.) Olatoye Temitope Sugar took their campaign trail to Surulere and Ogo-Oluwa Local Government Areas of Oyo State yesterday. 

Governor Adebayo Alao-Akala told the good people of the local government areas that he is contesting for governorship election in 2019 with a promise to rule Oyo state with the fear of God. He said his genda will be re-enacted, pursued with renewed vigor, deep sense of responsibility and delivered pro-actively to every nook and cranny of the state.

“I have listened to your appeals and accepted your request and hereby offer myself to contest under Action Democratic Party (ADP).

” I have heard the cries of market women whose shops were destroyed and means of livelihood taken away by the present administration in the state.

“I have listened to the agonies of Landlords whose houses were destroyed without compensation; I have seen many Civil Servants and top ranking officers of Government sacked ignominiously.

“But today I come to you with a message of hope and assurance of a better tomorrow”. He said.

Akala who assured those whose houses were destroyed of duly compensation also promised to reinstate unjustly sacked workers in the state.

He said every village and town in the state deserve even development while promising to continue with the policy of uplifting the rural areas as well as urban centers through the execution of people oriented projects.

He also appealed for understanding and forgiveness from those who he might have offended in his desire to make life better for the populace or in pursuit of equity and justice saying none of his actions were deliberate or personal vendatta.

While Governor Adebayo Alao-Akala also introduced the most capable, rarely qualified, effective and efficient incoming Senator of Oyo Central Senatorial, Hon. Olatoye Temitope Sugar to the good people of Ogo-Oluwa Local Government Area to fully vote for him as well. 

In his statement, Hon. (Dr.) Olatoye Temitope Sugar urged the people to solidly support and fully vote for all the candidates under the platform of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) adding that the party is the most credible alternative come 2019 in Oyo State that can bring all what the masses deserve. He also highlighted some achievements of the former Governor that qualified him to be the next Governor of Oyo State such as Parrot FM, Ogbomosho; modern hospital built in Ogbomosho, regular payment of salaries, solid road constructions, renovation of Mopo Hall, standard education, sound healthcare just to mention a few. 

Hon. (Dr.) Olatoye Temitope Sugar also promised to bring more dividends of democracy to the people beyond their expectations adding that he doesn't need to campaign again because his performances ever since he has been serving his constituents are enough to campaign on his behalf because all what he has been doing are visible impacts that nobody can campaign against while everyone also testified.

The Otun Olubadan of Ibadan land, High Chief Lekan Balogun , has described the invalidation of 21 Ibadan kings ’ installations as disappointing, stressing that there is nothing to contest in the 1957 Olubadan Chieftaincy Declaration review because nothing has changed . The lingering crisis rocking the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State on Tuesday took another dimension as a faction within the party, APC Unity Forum, announced its decision to leave the party for another one where its interest would be protected. The popular Fuji musician, Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, also known as Kwam 1, has confirmed the death of one of his daughters, Wasilat. Wasilat died in Canada after a brief illness. The deceased, said to be 34 years old, reportedly died in the early hours of Tuesday from complications arising from diabetes.  A popular Ibadan-based broadcaster, Oriyomi Hamzat, has been released from the custody of the State Security Service (SSS), where he was detained for weeks. Mr Hamzat, who owns Agidigbo radio station in Ibadan, was detained at the SSS office in Ibadan on August 1. He was later transferred to the Abuja office of the agency. Individuals and groups, like the Association of Nigerian Comrades (ANC), have clamoured for the release of the broadcaster whose arrest was seen as unlawful and an infringement on press freedom. Narrating how he was arrested, the general manager of Agidigbo radio station, Ismail Idowu, said the SSS officers visited the radio station on July 31, demanding to see Mr Hamzat. OLUBADAN: MOGAJIS ISSUE SEVEN-DAY ULTIMATUM TO 21 IBADAN KINGS

The Ibadan M ogajis (family heads) , under the aegis of Council of Authentic Ibadan Mogajis, have issued a seven -day ultimatum to the 21 kings installed by the Oyo State Governor, Abiola Ajimobi, to withdraw their threat to recommend Olubadan of Ibadan land, Oba Saliu Adetunji , for removal or face the wrath of Ibadan people .
